WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22

• The Argos United Methodist Church is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 540 N. Michigan Street, Argos. They are taking Blood and Power Red Donations. Blood is the most common type of donation, during which approximately a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. Power Red is a donation that collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibility requirements and have type A Neg, B Neg, or O blood. To reserve your spot, head to redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

• Spring Break is coming! Make sure you plan to be at the Marshall County Historical Society Museum on March 22, 2023 for our Spring Break All Aboard Kid’s Day! We will be celebrating trains and all things rail related. There will be games, puzzles and prizes and more! Meet our hobo storyteller and learn the language of the hobos of the Great Depression. Our in-house trains will be running during the event in our newly refreshed train room. This is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• The Plymouth Lincoln Class of 1958 will meet the month of March every Wednesday at the Brass Rail. We like to start at 11:30 a.m. If you have any questions e-mail or call Marilee 574-914-1878.

• Teen Cafe will be at the Bremen Public Library from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to play board games, eat snacks, and play the Nintendo Switch! This takes place every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. No registration is required.

• The Plymouth Public Library is hosting Hook ‘n Needle in the Apple Fireplace Room from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Join others as they knit and crochet projects together.

FRIDAY, MARCH 24

• Come play Euchre every Friday at 1 p.m. at the Life Enrichment Center, located at 1305 W. Harrison Street in Plymouth. Beginners to experts, everyone is welcome.

SATURDAY, MARCH 25

• Got Game? and the Plymouth Public Library are partnering together to have a family game day. There will be chess, euchre, and other family games available. You can even bring your own family game. This will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Got Game?, located at the corner of Center and Laporte Streets.

• Starting at 10 a.m., Bremen Band is holding a Mattress Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Gym A. Park on the high school side of the building, just follow the signs. This is the fifth year that the band is holding the fundraiser. For more information, go to their Facebook page: @Bremenhighschool.

• Join a growing movement of people like you who are helping fellow community members living with dementia. A little support can make a big difference in their lives. Joe Collins of Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana will present for you Dementia Friends Training to become a Dementia Friend. This session will be Thursday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at the Life Enrichment Center/marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth. Light refreshments will be served. • The Plymouth Park Department will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10:30 a.m. sharp at Centennial Park.

TUESDAY, APRIL 4

• The Marshall County Genealogical Society will hold its April meeting on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Marshall County Museum. Lacey King will talk about his experience with the National Institute for Genealogy Studies. The public is invited to attend. The museum is located at 123 N. Michigan, Plymouth. • Argos Public Library is holding Needle Queens Stitchers Group from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Stitchers is for individuals interested in knitting, crochet, crossstitch, quilting, or other types of needlework and it is not necessary to be a patron of the library to participate.

The meetings will take place in the Margaret Neff meeting room on the first and third Wednesdays of each month with stitching and visitng on the agenda.

SATURDAY, APRIL 8

•Easter at the Park will be held starting at 8:30 a.m. at Newton Park, located at 801 N. Michigan Street in Lakeville. This is a free event. There will be over 20,000 candy-filled eggs that will be spread across the purple soccer fields. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. The hunt will start at 9 a.m. sharp. From 9:30 a.m. till 12 p.m. there will be Easter activities. Kids will be seperated into four different age groups. Activities include: meeting the Easter Bunny, face painting, crafts, games, popcorn, cookie decorating, and prizes. For more details, check out the Newton Park Facebook Page.

• The Plymouth Trinity and First United Methodist Church is holding an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10 a.m. at Trinity UMC, located at 425 S. Michigan Street, Plymouth.

• From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the North Indiana Mountain Bike Association is inviting all to their 2nd trail work day of 2023 at Potato Creek State Park. NIMBA will provide the tools. Lunch will also be provided. You’ll want to bring work clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and a good pair of gloves. Activities include trimming, debris pickup and removal, and general trail assessment. If you’re interested in helping, meet at Peppermint Hill.
